Information Resource Macro Management Team
Purpose:
The Library needs a small group of knowledgeable IS Librarians to work with the Materials Budget, Procurement, and Licensing Librarian in order to act quickly on IR Management issues as they arise, to develop, document, and maintain knowledge of the philosophical underpinnings of allocation of the IA Budget, to develop and apply the criteria for decision-making on various types of purchases (described elsewhere in this charge), and to oversee and coordinate development and revision of library-wide policies if needed and not within the purview of functional teams. The team is expected to serve as consultants (providing assistance on request and offering assistance proactively when needed) to Integrative Services, DDT, TSAP and DLIST team leaders, to provide support for them in developing effective team level information resource management practices.
