Ode To Joe

We think that we shall never know,
A librarian as unique as Joe.

A librarian known to analyze,
And on occasion, philosophize.

A librarian none would call a twerp,
For who but Joe could thrive on SLRP.

A librarian whom we do "de-scribe".
As our expert on E*Subscribe

And who but Joe knows the most
About ERIC via EBSCOhost.

And although Joe is a mere mortal,
He laid the groundwork for scholar's portal.

And tattooed on his mighty chest,
His library creed, one word, "Access"

Yet he humbly wears more than one hat,
Teacher, researcher and diplomat.

He shows his knowledge and endless patience,
With every reference consultation.

A lyricist extraordinaire,
His words have insight, fun and flair.

His performances are always thrill'in.
Why our library has its own Bob Dylan!

In honor of turning thirty-nine,
We celebrate Joe with songs, jokes, quizzes and rhyme.

The Social Sciences Team can dabble in such arts,
But Joe, only you can draw flowcharts.
