Results of the 1989 USSR Population Census - Believed to be the most comprehensive population census of the former Soviet Union, this is an English and Russian language CD-ROM version of the 1992 microfiche edition representing 24 volumes and 15,000 pages. The database format allows searches that were impossible with the microfiche edition. Results of the 1999-2000 census, though less comprehensive, are available online at http://www.elections.ru
