PACSLAV Union List of Serials

The PACSLAV Union List of Serials is a database of current serials owned by the members of the consortium. It is designed to help patrons find locations for these serials quickly and to also to help the member institutions maintain this important resource as a group effort. It does not include titles for serials which have ceased prior to 1989. For these one should consult the on-line catalogs of the consortium members which can be reached through the Member Institutions page of this site.

The database is still a work in progress. Holdings for Stanford were the first to be included. Member institutions are adding their holdings and new records at this moment.

Search the PACSLAV Union List of Current Serials

Searching Instructions: The union list is a web-based database. One can search by a keyword in the title (or the beginning of a keyword), a title phrase, place of publication, country, language, and holding instituion. Each of these can be used alone or in combination with each other. No truncation symbol is required for a keyword search, eg. "vosto" will retrieve "vostok", "vostoka", "vostochnyi", etc., but not "dalnevostok" etc. Diacritics should not be used. Library of Congress transliteration for non-Roman alphabets is used throughout.

To search the catalogs of all the PACSLAV member institutions for any materials, go to WorldCat and cut at paste the Library Codes below into the "Library Code" box (under "Limits") and then execute your search. This will only bring up those materials owned by one or more PACSLAV libraries:

STF, CUY, CLU, ORU, AZS, SCL, WAU, AZU
