Tutorial: Senate and House Reports
and Other Y1 Documents

Why Reports & Documents are useful: The Senate and House of Representatives release several kinds of documents that can be very useful to those who are interested in the "whys" behind bills and laws.

A few definitions might be handy for those who have never dealt with these kinds of documents:

SuDoc number for Reports & Documents: According to the government's numbering system, Senate and House Reports, Resolutions, Joint Resolutions, and Miscellaneous Documents will all begin with the sequence "Y1".

To find other miscellaneous documents issued by the House, go to the House's main web page.
