The University of Arizona has a comprehensive array of benefits for its eligible employees, coordinated through central Human Resources. Employees who are employed at .50 FTE [twenty (20) hours per week or more for six (6) months or longer] are benefits-eligible. We encourage you to become familiar with your options and opportunities.

- To enroll in Benefits, go to the central HR site and
make selections within 31 days from start date (or date of change in benefits-eligibility), to enroll in the voluntary benefit plans. Selections may not be changed except during the annual open enrollment period during August/September (with changes taking place October 1) or within 31 days of a qualified Life Event change.
- Benefits Enrollment
- The next Benefits Open Enrollment is August 1 to August 31, 2009 for FY09-10. You should receive a packet in the mail with detailed information. Check that your home address is current. In addition, there are open enrollment resources such as information sessions on campus.

- Campus Health Services - Provides quality medical services, psychological care, and health promotion & prevention services for students.
- Campus Rec - Members are eligible for classes, fitness, aquatics, family programs, and outdoor adventures.
- Disbility in the Academe - Provides information for departments and individuals about accomodations and services for differently-abled employees and customers.
- Elder Care & Life Cycle Resources - Consultative elder care services to employees. Receive customized referrals regarding community housing, transportation and assistance in the home.
- Employee Assistance, Counseling & Consultation - Provides information and referral, presentations, and confidential counseling/consultation services to employees and supervisors.

- Oasis Program for Sexual Assault & Relationship Violence - Provides services such as counseling, presentations and self-defense classes for students and employees affected by sexual assualt, relationship violence and stalking. Call 626-2051.
- Sick Child Program - Provides a short-term solution for sick child care, for ages birth through 12 years.

In an effort to support staff who have concerns and feel stress regarding budget reductions, changes in work, safety, life and family issues, HROE initiated Walking thru Change in December 2002. The Libraries has continued to offer periodic in-house programs for health and wellness under the title, “Walking thru Change.”
