A Variety of Ways to Get Help:
1. Ask a Librarian:
There are several different ways to contact a librarian, whether you are at home or on campus. You can contact us by phone, email, chat, or in person. Keep in mind your deadlines when choosing a resource:
Need immediate help?
Do you have a bit more time?
- E-mail Reference Service: Fill in the form online and you will get a response within 48 hours
Do you need more in-depth knowledge of a subject or resource?
- Contact a Subject Specialist: Call or email for assistance
2. When all Else Fails:
- Take a break from the search.
- Move on to other research and come back to the challenging search later on.
- Remember, you can always get help from a librarian!
Sometimes stepping away from the search will help you see something you missed before.
Contact a colleague, your advisor or check the Comprehensive Search information. They may have some tips you have overlooked.
