The team has within its Mission Statement "training Library staff, as appropriate, on using their desktop computers, ..."
- To improve the reliability of staff and public desktop-related services
- To increase staff efficiency by implementing and improving services
- To increase DLIST effectiveness by organizing around processes
DLIST generally takes part in staff training, but is not responsible for staff training. That primary role resides with the the HROE Team. Visit their homepage:

DLIST primarily sees its staff training role regarding the following services:
- basic hands-on instruction on the Windows XP/2000/NT operating system (OS), especially when migrating a staff member from an older O/S version.
- Outlook e-mail..
- special presentations to the Library on information systems and technology.
- hands-on instruction on a one-to-one basis in certain situations; e.g. using the digital camera, using a scanner, mapping network drives.
