New Staff Orientation to the Library's Systems
DLIST - The Digital Library & Information Systems Team provides and enhances a robust information technology and information access infrastructure as well as diverse services that enable the UA Library to achieve its vision.
We partner and consult with the Library on all Information Technology and access projects.
There are two groups within DLIST.
DCAP - Digital Content, Access, and Publishing Group is responsible for:
- Working with the Library and its customers in the production of online content.
- Managing the Library's web presence.
- Facilitating user access to content.
- Managing and supporting information systems for library functions (cataloging, circulation, reserves, acquisitions, ordering, etc.)
XWING - X-Workstation and Infrastructure Networking Group is responsible for:
- Providing computer hardware, software and network configuration as well as network security.
- Technical assistance to Library staff and customers.
- Support of library electronic equipment and resources, including the Information Commons.
- Helpline Technical Assistance with computer hardware and software problems; Such as:
- Email malfunctions
- Cannot locate files
- Forgot your password
- Mouse stops functioning
- Image on monitor appears strange or malfunctions
- Problems accessing database or Sabio resources
- Network or desktop computer problems
