Who Gets Laptops
Laptops are for teams that need them for use in meeting rooms, campus meetings and off campus sites.
How Many Laptops
Currently there are 4 laptops. One in SET, SST,Team Y and UST. DLIST will continue to work with the library to assess the needs of the teams.
Responsibility
DLIST is responsible for the maintenance of the laptops. Teams are responsible for bringing the laptop to DLIST for patching and updates. DLIST is responsible for upgrading and refreshing the laptop. The current schedule is:
- Patching – every 6 months when ghosting takes place
- Upgrades – if needed after 2 years
- Refresh – after 4 years. Depending on capability of laptop and need in library, the old laptop may be surplused or used for more simple tasks. These older laptops will not be refreshed. Only the laptops mentioned above will be covered.
Teams are responsible for keeping the laptops safe from harm and are to bring the laptops to DLIST when requested. Teams must have a sign-out process and are responsible for knowing all UA policies that cover the use of the laptops.
