The Information Literacy Project

Introduction

The Information Literacy Project was initiated by the University of Arizona Library in response to the perception that students need to enhance and develop technological and intellectual skills to find, use and evaluate information. The project will explore what students need in the way of information skills, examine similar endeavors at other institutions and develop models of possible components of an information literacy program. The project team will then make recommendations as to what course of action the Library and University of Arizona might take.
