The University Libraries Communications program:
- Increases the visibility of the University Libraries through a program of user-centered, two-way communication by keeping the UA community and others informed of library services, collections, activities, events, and research
- Coordinates marketing communication plans for strategic initiatives, including:
- Educating the student body as to the benefits of the Student Fee
- Making UA Foundation & UA Alumni Association aware of Libraries’ announcements, data and ranking, and information resources available to them and their member/donor base
- Keeping the Provost and UA administrators apprised of the accomplishments and value of the Libraries
- Exploring revenue generating opportunities
- Handles media relations. Serves as the primary contact for UA News, the AZ Daily Wildcat, local media, etc
- Supports and coordinates library staff in developing communications plans for projects, rolling out new products and services, creating brochures and publicity materials
- Encourages and responds to feedback from the community
- Administers the Libraries’ portfolio of text-based publications, advertisements, and digital slides including:
- News Releases
- Digital Slides
- Friends Trends, the semi-annual newsletter for faculty and library friends
- Display advertising including, but not limited to, UA Parents & Family Magazine, UA Visitor Guide, the AZ Daily Star
