Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (from UA EO/AA)
The University is requiring all UA employees (including graduate and undergraduate student employees) to complete its new online Harassment Prevention Program. The program is available now at http://training.newmedialearning.com/psh/uarizona. The University requires this program to be completed by May 1, 2009. This is a mandatory requirement for all Library employees.
Here are the details:
- Several versions of the program are available (supervisory, faculty, student, and non-supervisory). Select the version of the program most applicable to you (if in doubt, take the supervisor version since it’s the most comprehensive). A Spanish version is available too.
- You’ll need to have your student ID or EID handy.
- The University advises setting aside about an hour to complete the program. If you get interrupted midway through, there’s a way to bookmark your spot and come back to it.
- There’s no audio component – it’s just reading, following links, and clicking buttons.
- The program ends with a test to ensure comprehension of the material. Some of the final questions weren’t very clear to me (and some seemed kind of picky), so you might want to jot down a few notes as you go through the material.
- A passing score is 80% (2 incorrect answers = 86%). If you don’t pass, the program lets you go back through the material and take the test again.
- When you pass the test, a “certificate” will appear on the screen. Print this out, sign it, make a copy for yourself, and give a copy to Melanie. You’re done!
If you have any questions, you can call the Equal Opportunity & Affirmative Action Office at 621-9438.
Again, this is a mandatory requirement for all Libraries and CCP employees.
