Finding Federal Government Documents
The University of Arizona Library participates in the U.S. Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) and is a selective depository. The purpose of the US Federal Depository program is to make government resources widely accessible to all users. The Library has a strong historical collection of documents in paper and microform dating back to 1700 . The majority of recent government documents are now available on the internet.
While many Government publications are available online, our collection still includes print, CD-ROM, DVD, microfiche, and microfilm. The location of these documents is based on format and issuing agency. The majority of documents have their own classification system and are not arranged by Library of Congress call numbers.
